Join The Collective Action

You're not just participating; you're leading the change towards a sustainable future and next-gen technologies.

The Earth05 Prize quest advances global co-creation among scientists, academics, startups, and stakeholders to accelerate cross-border knowledge sharing, innovation, and action in water sustainability, microplastics pollution reduction, and renewable energy. By leveraging the collective intelligence of a global community, we drive impactful solutions.

As the world's newest annual prize, inaugurated in 2024, it celebrates collaborative achievements rather than a single winner. We align synergies among all stakeholders to consolidate intelligence across the full spectrum of the water ecosystem within three winning categories:
(1) 500M Lives, (2) 2050 Net Zero, and (3) Next Gen.

The Prize provides co-created finalists to pilot their solutions in a digital twin simulated environment prior to real-world implementation. Moreover, it promotes synergistic collaboration by fusing scientific insights with entrepreneurial strategies, ensuring groundbreaking research achieves real-world impact and drives societal progress and economic growth.

FAQ

  • 6. Can teams, network of scientists, researchers or academics apply?
    Yes!
  • 9. How are projects evaluated?
Main criteria focus on assessing how well technologies integrate, demonstrating open innovation and the ability to co-develop. Entries will be evaluated for their innovation, potential impact, feasibility, scalability, sustainability, and specifically, their readiness for collaborative development. This includes how technologies can work together to achieve environmental goals and align with the SDGs, ensuring solutions are not only innovative but also practical, scalable, and designed for long-term sustainability through partnership and collaboration.
  • 1. Who can apply?
We welcome applications from across the globe, targeting innovators, scientists, academics (PHD), entrepreneurs (startups) and enterprises committed to challenge the status quo’s water & microplastics.
  • 5. How can applicants prepare for the online pitch event?
Applicants should prepare a 10-slide presentation that highlights their team's expertise, the scalability of their solution, technological innovation, and readiness for collaboration. The deck should cover risk mitigation strategies, geographical considerations, and a wish list of potential partners. This includes specifying which peer technologies they aim to co-create with, which enterprises they seek for open innovation partnerships, and which government accesses are needed, along with the reasons for these choices. Additionally, the presentation should outline strategies for scaling the solution with potential funding, detail how you'd use €2-5M funding to improve lives in developing countries and indigenous communities, focusing on the expected social return on lives (ROL). Aim to clearly demonstrate the significant life improvements your project could bring to the underprivileged with this support.
  • 13. Application Fee
To ensure we can provide the best support and resources for all applicants, there is an application fee of 250 Euros. However, applications submitted before July 21st are free of charge.
