Earth05 is a global platform dedicated to igniting science, entrepreneurship,
and corporate collaboration to accelerate innovation beyond conventional limits—focusing on the nexus of water, energy, food, and AI.
We design and lead high-impact programs—most notably the annual Earth05 Co-Creation Prize—to identify, award, and scale breakthrough solutions aligned with bold 2050 goals: achieving zero wastewater, 100% renewable energy adoption, the elimination of microplastics, and the development of responsible AI infrastructure.
In a post-AGI world, our work is guided by the Return on Lives (ROL) metric
proprietary impact framework that measures how innovations support—
or displace—life.
Earth05 is not just another prize—it is a movement. We award collective winners and catalyze collective action to drive systemic change at scale.
About Us
Our Core Mission: Water & AI
Unlock collective intelligence and hasten global co-creation.
Status Quo
As AI computing demands surge—consuming vast amounts of water and energy—we face a global paradox: the very technology driving humanity’s progress is accelerating strain on the life-supporting systems we must protect.
While 2 billion people still lack access to clean water and 733 million face hunger, AI data centers already consume over 1% of global electricity. By 2030, AI-related infrastructure is projected to use more than 1 trillion liters of freshwater annually—enough to meet the daily water needs of 54 million people.
Earth05 is committed to contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Central to Earth05's mission are key SDGs: SDG1 (No Poverty) SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality), SDG11 (Sustainable Cities & Human settlements), SDG 13 (Climate Change), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
SDGs 6, 9 and 17 serve as foundational and guiding principles, embedded in everything we do, underlining our commitment to fostering innovation and building global partnerships for sustainable development.

"In this era of unprecedented technological advancement, collective intelligence holds the key to addressing climate change. Water, with its vital three-day cycle for human survival, cannot be overstated." – Maria Dahrieh Founder of Earth05
