Earth05 Unveils World’s First Co-Creation Prize to Revolutionize Water Security with Ethical AI

Davos, Switzerland – January 21, 2025 – Earth05.org unveiled a game-changing initiative at the 2025 Davos Annual Meeting: the world’s first Co-Creation Prize. Debuted at the Catalysts of Impact Gala, this pioneering award celebrates co-creation, AI-driven innovations tackling water and food security. Unlike traditional prizes honoring solo achievements, it spotlights collective winners rather than solo breakthroughs.

Maria Dahrieh, Founder of Earth05.org, said, “To tackle urgent issues like water and food security, co-creation is essential. Uniting brilliant minds to share intelligence and resources, we spark innovation and systemic change no individual can achieve alone.”

THE CO-CREATION PRIZE COLLECTIVE WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

The Co-Creation Prize celebrates groundbreaking AI-driven solutions developed through cross-sector partnerships. The 2025 collective winners include:

Winners Across Three Categories:

  1. 500M Lives – Collective Winners: Dryp, Evodrop AG, and Pulse Industries have joined forces to revolutionize water and resource sustainability. Dryp leverages IoT and AI to optimize urban water management and reduce CO2 emissions, Evodrop AG transforms agriculture with cold plasma technology to save water and fertilizers while boosting crop yields, and Pulse Industries offers the only proven large-scale solution for eliminating toxic “forever chemicals” from water.

  2. Net Zero & Next Gen – Collective Winners: OceanWell and PolyGone combine their advanced technologies to address water scarcity and plastic pollution. OceanWell’s modular subsea water farms are designed to boost global water supply sustainably, while PolyGone’s filtration systems capture up to 580 million microplastics annually.

  3. 500M Lives Runners Up: SkyH2O and Wayout together, their systems provide pristine drinking water for 100,000 people per installation, greatly reducing CO2 emissions and plastic waste. SkyH2O harnesses air to generate clean, drinkable water, and Wayout delivers purified water through a network free of single-use plastics.

Special AquaCatalyst Recognition Openversum, works closely with communities through its innovative micro-franchising initiative—using a cutting-edge ERP system (the Microfranchising Digital Twin) to empower female entrepreneurs in water filtration and enhance local well-being.

INTRODUCING THE RETURN ON LIVES (ROL) METRIC

Earth05.org also launched the Return on Lives (ROL) metric, a revolutionary tool to measure impact beyond profit. Focused on human and planetary outcomes, ROL quantifies the human impact of projects, ensuring investments prioritize real-world outcomes over conventional financial returns.

REAL-WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION: MANGROVE INITIATIVE

To mark the launch of the Co-Creation Prize, Earth05.org partnered with UOCEAN 2050 to plant 200 mangrove trees per guest attending the gala. This initiative restores critical ecosystems and reinforces Earth05.org’s commitment to immediate environmental impact.

“This is about more than fundraising; it’s about building a community committed to meaningful change”; said Chris Desai, Global Director of UOCEAN.org

LOOKING AHEAD: SECOND EDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The second edition of the Co-Creation Prize will open for applications in March 2025, inviting scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs worldwide to submit AI-driven solutions in water, food, and energy sustainability.
